Following the Israeli-Palestine war, several media reports suggest that Gaza has lost most of its archeological sites.

But in early 2025, a group of artists carried out a Gaza Martyrs project aimed at commemorating the lives of the casualties in the war.

As reported by Tehran Times in 2024, a memorial installation honoring the children martyred in Gaza, was carried out with the title: “Ten Thousand Worlds.”

There were reportedly around 10,000 installations of child sculptures and 10,000 small paintings.

However, an Instagram user, Shkkafeel, posted a viral video of a Gaza Martyrs Museum, showing a group of individuals taking photos of the sculptures.

In the video, the martyrs can be seen stepping on the head of Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.

DUBAWA decided to fact-check the story due to its mandate to amplify truth.

Verification

Firstly, DUBAWA’s investigation showed that as of 2024, Gaza had lost nearly 200 sites of historic importance, as reported by Al-Jazeera

Our investigation also found that as of October 2025, UNESCO verified that the war had damaged 114 sites since October 7, 2023, 13 religious sites, 81 buildings of historical and/or artistic interest, three   depositories of movable cultural property, nine   monuments, one m  museum, and seven   archaeological sites.

Further investigation proved that there is actually no publicly accessible museum dedicated to the Gazans who have died in the war. Instead ——instead, the  Palestine Museum is championing what itthey callscall the “Gaza Remains a Story.”

The “Gaza Remains a Story” is a document often used to honour the lives of all the Palestinians killed in the Israeli-Palestine war.

Before we subjected the video to an AI-videoAl-video detector, we observed that the video frames carried features of a deep fake.

Visual Inconsistencies: The frames were inconsistent and fast on display.
