Claim: A Facebook page, Eagle Eye report, claims the Central Intelligence Agency, CIA headquarters in Dubai, was set ablaze by Iran.

Verdict: False. DUBAWA’s findings reveal that the video dates back to October 2015, and that the CIA headquarters is at the George Bush Centre for Intelligence in Langley, Virginia, United States, not in Dubai.

A Facebook page, Eagle Eye report, on March 1, 2026, posted a video of a high building in flames with the caption, “Footage of CIA headquarters in Dubai targeted this morning by Iran.”
The post comes amid the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. In the viral clip, a tall skyscraper appears to be on fire, with thick smoke rising from it.
As of March 2, 2026, the post had garnered over 7,000 shares, more than 220 comments, and 504 reactions.
Some of the comments read, Kibs Si: “CIA headquarters!!!! Where do you get such ideas??” Another user, Chizoba Gloria Ikedife, said, “God intervene into this matter sudden appear in this case.”
Similarly, Elmer Piggee wrote, “I just heard some more podcasts about this. This is real; there are more people talking about this bombing and Dubai, and it may have been some soldiers up in that building. This is real people.”
DUBAWA decided to fact-check the claim because its importance touches on international security, diplomatic tensions, and public trust in information, especially during periods of heightened conflict.
Verification
DUBAWA conducted a reverse image search of keyframes from the viral video. The search results led to several news reports indicating that the footage dates back to 2015 and shows a skyscraper on fire in Sharjah.
The story was published on Oct. 1, 2015, by the BBC. The report stated that a high-rise residential building in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, caught fire, sending plumes of thick black smoke into the air.
The National News YouTube channel published the same video on Oct. 1, 2015. The description noted that a building caught fire on King Faisal Road in Sharjah, and that authorities evacuated residents.
We found no major news agencies or government authorities that confirmed that Iran hit any CIA facility.
The CIA is the United States’ primary civilian foreign intelligence service. The CIA is headquartered at the George Bush Centre for Intelligence in Langley, Virginia, United States, and has served as its sole headquarters. There is no confirmed relocation of a major CIA outpost to Dubai.
Conclusion
The claim that the viral video shows the CIA headquarters in Dubai targeted by Iran is false. The footage is from a 2015 fire incident in Sharjah and is unrelated to any recent events involving Iran or the CIA.
