A post by Manchester United Forever Fans circulating on Facebook claims that Manchester United has completed the signing of a new player. The post includes images showing a footballer seated at a table signing documents while wearing a Manchester United jersey. Another image shows the same player posing with other players as if the signing has just been officially completed.
Because of the potential to mislead football supporters, DUBAWA decided to verify the authenticity of the images and the claim that Manchester United had completed a new signing.
Verification
DUBAWA first checked the official communication channels of Manchester United, including the club’s official website and verified social media platforms. When clubs complete a new signing, they usually publish official announcements accompanied by professional photos and press statements.
However, no such announcement was found regarding the player shown in the viral images. Major football transfers involving big clubs like Manchester United are usually reported widely by international sports media, but no credible sports outlet reported this transfer.
Another important factor is that the football transfer window is closed. Professional football clubs can normally register new players only during the official transfer window periods set by football authorities. Since the transfer window is currently closed, the claim that Manchester United has completed a new signing at this time raises serious doubts.
To further confirm this, DUBAWA analysed the image using an AI detection tool, which indicated that it was generated by artificial intelligence with 82%.

Conclusion
The images claiming that Manchester United has completed a new signing are false. There is no official confirmation from the club or credible sports media, and the football transfer window is even close.
