Claim: Wise Blog SL has shared intimate pictures of a popular Nigerian actress and comedian, Emanuella Samuel, with a man claiming to be her boyfriend.
Verdict: False! Our investigation proves that the pictures were doctored.

Emanuella Samuel, born on July 22, 2010, is a fast-growing Nigerian actress and comedian who came to the limelight after her first viral appearance: “Who Mess?”
Since then, she has won several local and international awards including the G-influence Niger Delta Special Award, Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award, Best New Comedienne, and the Princess of Comedy Award.
Wise Blog SL, a Sierra Leonean blog, posted photos on Facebook, claiming that Emanuella has shared romantic pictures with her boyfriend.
There were three pictures in a montage, one of which had a lady purported to be Emmanuel in a frantic kiss with a man. The two others had the image of Emanuella with another man.
The caption that came along with the pictures suggests Emanuella was having fun with her boyfriend.
The caption read: “Popular Nigerian female social media activist #Emmanuel shared classic photos of her bøyfriend, and this has caused so many questions on the Internet about whether Emanuella has reached the stage to have a bøyfriend. What are your thoughts about this?”
The post gained attention, reaching 80 likes, eight comments, and one share in just two hours of being shared. The pictures looked suspicious, so DUBAWA investigated them as part of our mandate to promote truth in public discourse.
Verification
DUBAWA conducted a Google Reverse Image Search to verify the claim. The researcher found that the same pictures had been shared on another Facebook page, Borntowin, on April 11, 2025.

Further checks suggest that the photos were doctored from the originals posted by Mark Angel on his official Instagram account in 2024.
DUBAWA also verified Emanuella’s official Instagram and TikTok accounts and found no picture of her kissing a fair-coloured man.
Conclusion
DUBAWA’s investigations reveal that the photo of Emanuella kissing a fair coloured man has been doctored.
