Claim: “Another CDC Criminal, Fumbah Armah, was just caught for registering two times at precinct #30153 in Blackie Island Community, District #13.” – Martin Kollie posted on Facebook.
Verdict: Mostly true
Findings:
DUBAWA contacted an observer with the West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP), assigned at precinct number 30153 who did not personally see the arrest of the man in question. However, he spoke to Marcus Jasper, the Presiding Officer (PO) of the National Elections Commission (NEC), who confirmed the claim to DUBAWA.
According to the PO, Fumbah Armah’s name was found on the duplicate list, showing he had registered twice at the Shirley Kulman and Kingdom Kids Institute precinct. He added that Mr Armah was arrested and turned over to the Liberia National Police (LNP), who later claimed the culprit escaped its custody.
Mr Jasper, however, stated that the NEC could not confirm the political affiliation of Mr Armah.
