Amadu Lamrana Bah, popularly known as L.A.J, serves as the Peace Ambassador in Sierra Leone. Similarly, Amara Denis Turay, known by his stage name Kao-Denero, is the Entertainment Ambassador. Both were appointed by His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio to serve the people of Sierra Leone in their respective capacities.

Since their appointments, L.A.J. and Kao-Denero have contributed significantly to their roles. L.A.J. has been using his music to spread messages of peace and unity, while Kao-Denero has worked hard to promote Sierra Leone’s entertainment industry, locally and internationally. Their efforts have earned them recognition and admiration from many Sierra Leoneans.

However, on January 16, 2025, a press release claiming that the two ambassadors had been replaced started circulating on social media. The post, shared by Salone Spice on Facebook, included offensive language and mocked the ambassadors. The message quickly spread, drawing the attention of fans and sparking debates about the credibility of the information.

Verification

DUBAWA contacted Abdul Fonte, Strategic Communications Officer at State House. Abdul Fonte categorically stated that the press release was fake and that the information being circulated on social media was false. He emphasised that Salone Spice’s post lacks credibility and should not be trusted. Fonte urged citizens to always verify information with the appropriate authorities before believing or sharing it, especially sensitive matters.

Fonte revealed that no official communication was released by the State House regarding the replacement of the ambassadors. The absence of any credible evidence supporting Salone Spice’s claim further proves that the press release is false.

Additionally, both ambassadors have continued their work without any interruption, further confirming that they have not been replaced.

Conclusion

The claim that Amadu Lamrana Bah (L.A.J) and Amara Denis Turay (Kao-Denero) have been sacked as Peace and Entertainment Ambassadors, respectively, is false.
