A Facebook user, Cuddle Babies, shared an article claiming that popular American actor Will Smith has passed on at the age of 56. The article, published by Nikimedia, stated that Jaden Smith, the 27-year-old son of the actor, announced his father’s demise via a statement.
“My father was more than an actor. He was my best friend, my mentor, and the person who taught me how to face the world with courage. Today, my heart is shattered,” the article quoted Jaden’s alleged statement.
Will has acted in numerous blockbuster and box office movies, including Aladdin, Suicide Squad, Men in Black, and Bad Boys for Life, as well as The Pursuit of Happiness.
As of Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, the post has attracted 459 likes, 116 comments, and 11 shares.
In response to the post, other Facebook users provided diverse replies, with some believing it and others dismissing it as false.
“No, no, no, someone should tell me what is happening here, please,” Beshel Christiana commented in disbelief.

Due to the sensitivity of the post and its potential to go viral, DUBAWA decided to verify the post.
Verification
DUBAWA conducted a keyword search to see if any local or international news outlets have reported the alleged death of the popular American actor. We found no report on the actor’s death.
We further checked Will’s social media handles, including X, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, but found no official announcement or any post that suggests or corroborates the Facebook user’s claim.
We noticed that Nikamedia published the article reporting Will’s death on Nov. 1, 2025. However, the American actor shared an Instagram post on the same day, Nov. 1, 2025, and a Facebook post on Nov. 3, 2025, extending birthday wishes to his daughter and promoting an upcoming movie, respectively.
We also checked his son, Jaden’s, X and Instagram handles, but found no posts or statements concerning Will’s alleged death.
Conclusion
The claim is false. No reputable news outlet or social media post by the actor or his son announced the alleged death.
