Caroline Moore, commonly known on stage as MC Caro, is a Liberian songwriter and rapper. She came to the spotlight through a freestyle title: ‘pro poor’.
In a recent Facebook post by Yekeh Kolubah, the blogger alleged that MC Caro was involved in an accident.
Below is a screenshot of the post.
The claim generated 2.3k reactions, 1k comments, and 147 shares.
It created a crucial debate amongst internet users about its authenticity. The mixed reactions prompted DUBAWA to conduct a fact-check.

Verification
To verify this claim, DUBAWA conducted a Google Reverse Image Search to ascertain the originality of the images. Results from several social media handles indicate that the photos posted by the claimant are from an accident that occurred in 2020. The 2020 accident involved MC Caro and four other artists in Buchanan while en route to Maryland County. The reports can be found here, here, and here.
In further verification, DUBAWA contacted MC Caro via WhatsApp to determine whether she had been involved in a similar incident recently. The artist refuted the claim in a press release.
“It has come to our attention that false information is being circulated online claiming that Liberian artist MC Caro was recently involved in a car accident. Along with these reports, old photos from an accident nearly five years ago are being recycled and presented as current. We want to make it clear that these reports are entirely false. MC Caro is safe and healthy and is actively working on upcoming projects. There has been no recent accident, and any images or content suggesting otherwise are misleading and should be disregarded,” the release said.

As per our findings, the accident images are not recent. Thus, the claim is false.
