Claim: A Facebook user named Imran Sesay claimed that Shiek Mohamed Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban, and his Born 2 Blog reporters were kicked out of the hall during the All People’s Congress (APC) National Young Congress Conference held in Bo City.

A Facebook user named Imran Sesay made a viral post claiming that popular politician Sheikh Mohamed Kamara, also known as Jagaban, and his team of Born 2 Blog reporters were forcefully removed from the hall during the APC National Young Congress in Bo City.
The event, organised by the All People’s Congress Party, was held on May 31st and June 1st, 2025. Imran Sesay’s post received many reactions, with several people sharing their opinions online. Some users believed the claim, while others questioned its truth.
The post attracted heated arguments and created confusion about what happened during the conference, hence DUBAWA’s fact check.
Verification
DUBAWA contacted Anthony Gogra, a known member and reporter of Born 2 Blog. He said the claim is misleading. He explained that he and Jagaban were inside the hall during the event and never asked to leave.
To support his statement, Gogra shared several photos taken during the conference. The pictures clearly showed him and Jagaban seated inside the hall, participating in the programme. He said, “We were not kicked out. We were in the hall, covering the event from start to finish.”
The photos also showed the bloggers interacting with other attendees and conducting their media work as usual. There was no evidence that any security or party official asked them to leave the hall.
DUBAWA also contacted Alhaji Musa Bah, a reporter who was at the conference, for Owl Newspaper. According to him, Jagaban is a political aspirant for the APC party, and the organisers’ policy was that no aspirant should bring their media team to use the conference as a campaign ground. Jagaban defied that order, which generated confusion. They were asked to change their attire and attend the conference with a neutral mindset. So they changed and complied with the organiser’s policy.
