Claim: Facebook users share two video clips with claims that they were from the recent airstrikes executed by the United States in Iran.

Verdict: Misleading! The footage is old and has no connection to the recent US action in Iran.
Full Text
As a show of involvement in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, the United States (US) government launched multiple airstrikes on three nuclear sites in Iran on June 22, 2025.
Following this intervention, Facebook users began sharing two video clips with captions relating them to the US strikes in Iran.
For instance, Next Generation Weapons Technology, a Facebook page, posted the first eight-second video with the description “Fordow is gone: US bombs three nuclear sites in Iran, Trump says historic moment.”
Mya Kay Zin, another user, posted a different video, saying: “The first video of the explosion in Iran after the US attack, witnessed by a foreign affairs expert, has emerged online.”
Others, like Mabuhay Ka Magsaysay, have also posted this footage with the same narrative on their timelines, as archived here.

The US ordered a ceasefire between the countries, but violations have already been reported after the agreement was reached.
Since sharing false or misleading information alongside authentic narratives during unrest is not uncommon, DUBAWA conducted this fact check to separate facts from fiction.
Verification
We conducted keyword searches to find reports on the development in question. We traced the first video to an Israeli strike that took place in Syria’s coastal Tartus region in December 2024, a few weeks after Syria’s former president, Bashar al-Assad, was overthrown. Several international media outlets, including Al Jazeera and Deutsche Welle, reported on this event.
Unlike the first video, a reverse image search revealed the earliest version of the second video to be from a Ukrainian drone attack on a military facility housing Russian ammunition. CNN, AP News, and Reuters reported that this incident occurred in Tver, Russia, at midnight on September 18, 2024.
Both results show these videos are recirculating clips from different events, not the recent US airstrikes in Iran.
Conclusion
Contrary to the circulating narrative, findings show that the two videos have no connection whatsoever to the recent US airstrikes in Iran. The claim is, therefore, misleading.
